Children’s Afternoon Tea Menu at London Hilton on Park Lane Hotel
If you are looking for a special kid-friendly London Afternoon Tea menu, the children’s afternoon tea at Podium Restaurant is sure to please! And if you visit during December like we did, you can enjoy the special Children’s Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea menu!
Our daughter started off by ordering her first drink: a strawberry milkshake with whipped cream.
Then came the adorable teddy bear-shaped sandwiches which made her smile. The three sandwiches offered were: Turkey and Mustard Mayonnaise on Brown Bread, Ham and Cheese on White Bread, and Cream Cheese and Tomato on White Bread. Her favourite was the ham and cheese.
Next came another drink (our daughter chose mango juice) and the sweets! They were beautifully presented on a miniature picnic table.
On the bottom were the three scones: chocolate chip, plain and raisin, served with salted caramel spread, Cornish clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam. Our daughter loved the jam.
Above the scones were the special Christmas-themed treats – our daughter’s favourite! She went straight for the Ginger Bread Man. Another favourite was the White Teddy Bear made with chocolate and personalized with her name on it. The other delicious treats were a Reindeer Lolly, Cookies and Cream Brownie, and a Christmas Tree Cupcake.
Our daughter loved all the treats but we had to take most of them home as it was way too much for a 3-year-old haha.
What’s special about this London Afternoon Tea with Kids at the London Hilton on Park Lane?
What makes this kid-friendly London Afternoon Tea so special is the teddy bear picnic theme. Upon arrival, the kids are greeted with a soft and fluffy friend on the table, right at their seat. The stuffed animals are great quality.
Our daughter received a cute tiger stuffy which she slept with every night during our trip. She totally adored him!
Once the treats were served, the waiter placed the tiger stuffy on the other side of the mini picnic table so it was as if our daughter was dining with her new furry friend.
The children’s afternoon tea also comes with crayons and a paper menu to colour on. This kept our daughter busy while we waited for our tea and treats.
All the staff were great with the kids as well. They were very playful and made the kids feel comfortable.
Afternoon Tea Menu at London Hilton on Park Lane Hotel
The afternoon tea menu for adults was fantastic as well.
We started off with a platter of little sandwiches: Smoked Salmon on Brioche Bread, Coronation Chicken on Brioche Bread (a favourite of mine), Egg on White Bread, Cucumber and Cream Cheese on Brown Bread, and Tuna on Brown Bread.
Next, the waiter brought out the beautiful tiered arrangement of scones and treats. On the bottom were the freshly baked scones: plain, chocolate chip and raisin. They were served with the most delicious salted caramel spread, Cornish clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam, just like the children’s menu.
On the upper tiers were the delicious treats: Chestnut & Cassis Yule Log, Santa’s Christmas Trifle, Black Forest Parcel, Praline Paris-Brest, Eggnog Mandarin Cheesecake Lolly, and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
