It is easy to find by just following the hotel signs within the airport. You can also check out this airport map.

Calgary Airport Marriott Check-In
The check-in area is located as soon as you walk into the spacious lobby. We were impressed with the very high ceilings and nice decor. Immediately it felt much more luxurious than other airport hotels we’ve stayed at.
The staff working the front desks were extremely friendly. Check-in was efficient and we were provided with detailed information about the hotel, such as where to find the pool and how to access the lounge.

Does Calgary Airport Marriott offer Day Use Rooms?
Yes! The Calgary Airport Marriott offers day use rooms on a walk-up basis, based on availability that day. You are not able to book day use rooms in advance, unless you want to pay the full nightly rate.
We landed at the airport on a Friday morning and walked over to the hotel around 9:00am to inquire if they had any day use rooms available for our layover. The front desk agents called up to a manager who informed them that there were indeed some day use rooms available that day. Hooray!
Since we were traveling with our daughter, we asked for a room with two beds. We were given a Runway View Room with two queen beds and were told we could have the room until 5:00pm. Perfect for us, as our next flight was departing at 6:00pm.
How much is the day use rate at Calgary Airport Marriott Hotel?
The day use room rate is 50% of the nightly rate. On average, the nightly rate at this hotel is fairly high. For example, on the Friday we stayed, the nightly rate was $379. Therefore we paid $189.50 plus taxes and fees for our day use room.
Note: Even though you are paying for a day use room, and not a nightly rate, you still get one elite night credit if you are a Bonvoy Member.
Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status Recognition
During the check-in process, they asked for our Bonvoy Member number. Due to our Platinum Elite status, we were told we had access to the hotel’s M Lounge on the 7th floor.
It was 9:00am when we were checking in, and they asked us if we had already had breakfast or not. When we told them we hadn’t, they mentioned that the breakfast buffet in the M Lounge had just ended, but asked if we wanted to have breakfast in the restaurant. I asked if there would be an extra charge and they said no, it would be complimentary.
The front desk gave us a Continental Breakfast Coupon and said we could head over to the restaurant to use it. When we handed the coupon to the waitress, to our surprise, she said we could order anything we wanted off the menu and it would be covered! All three of us had a full breakfast ordered off the menu, totally comped, with gratuity included. We were not expecting such a nice perk from our Platinum status.

Room Review: Runway View Guest Room
Bedroom
Our room consisted of two queen beds that were very comfortable and had great pillows. There is a bedside table between the two beds with a phone, alarm clock, and lamp.
Next to the bed by the window is a large upholstered chair, another lamp and small table.
On the wall opposite the beds is a flat screen TV. Below the TV is a desk area with plug-ins, USB outlets, a small lamp, stationary, and complimentary bottled water.
To the right of the TV is a cabinet containing some cups, ice bucket, iron and safe.
On the other side of the cabinet is a small closet with hangers and an ironing board.
The room was notably very quiet. Despite the planes being right below, we did not notice any sound from outside nor the neighboring rooms.
Bathroom
The bathroom is very spacious – more than we expected from an airport hotel. It is modern and clean.
There are no individual toiletries provided, other than lotion and a bar of soap. Instead, there are the large squeeze bottles of bodywash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower.
Hidden inside one of the boxes on the bathroom counter is some cotton pads and cotton swabs. You will find the hairdryer hanging in a bag on the opposite wall.
Coffee and Fridge
There is a basic single-serve coffee machine on the ledge as you walk into the room. Next to it is a box with teas, coffee, sugar and cream. We did not end up using it as we went to the M Lounge and Restaurant instead.
There’s no minibar, but there is a mini fridge beneath the desk area.
View
If you’re into plane spotting, this is a great room for you as you have views over the runway and can watch the planes pulling in and out of the gates below. You can also see the city of Calgary and the mountains in the distance.
Calgary Airport Marriott Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided and worked well. Ryan was able to get some work done on his laptop and we had no speed issues when posting videos and photos.
Calgary Airport Marriott Pet Policy
If you happen to be traveling with a pet, you will be happy to know that pets are welcome! A maximum of two pets are allowed and the fee is $35 per night, to a maximum of $70 per stay.
M Club Lounge at Calgary Airport Marriott
For those with Bonvoy Platinum Elite status or higher, or for those who’ve booked an M Club Level Room, you can enjoy the M Club Lounge located on the 7th floor.
To gain access, simply tap your room key to unlock the door. There was no attendant there when we visited.
The lounge is a decent size with a variety of tables, lounge chairs, and bar seating overlooking the runway. There are TVs, as well as a business services centre with a printing station should you need it.
Complimentary food, drinks and snacks are served throughout the day, which is of course the highlight for us. As mentioned above, we unfortunately missed the breakfast buffet so we only got to take advantage of the afternoon snacks and drinks.
During the afternoon, they had a self-serve candy bar which made us feel like kids again but, to be honest, was quite fun. There were also granola bars, English Bay cookies, and apples and oranges. Not a large selection of snacks, but enough to tide you over.
As for drinks, there is a fridge with sodas, juice, craft beers and wine (although I believe the beer and wine is for purchase, but there was no attendant there when we visited). There’s also a self-serve Starbucks coffee and espresso machine, along with a variety of teas to choose from. Both mugs and to-go cups are provided, which is nice.
Next to the teas is a Tabl’eau hydration station offering both still and sparkling water on tap.
Beneath the drink station you will find compost, garbage, and recycling bins, which I was pleased to see.
M Club Lounge Hours:
- Breakfast Buffet: 6:00am-9:00am
- Hors D’oeuvres: 5:30pm-7:30pm
- Dessert: 7:30pm-11:00pm
- Bar Service (for purchase): 5:00pm-11:00pm
Outside of these hours, complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, and soft drinks are available. The lounge is open 24/7.
Marriott Calgary Airport Restaurant : Yakima Social Kitchen & Bar
The hotel’s onsite restaurant, Yakima, is located on the main floor to the left of the lobby. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu offering Aboriginal, North American and Asian cuisines. Prices are slightly high but worth it.
We were actually very impressed with the restaurant. The menu had a variety of delicious-sounding offerings, not just your typical options. Our food was presented very beautifully, came out very quickly, and was delicious!
As mentioned above, we received complimentary breakfast here at Yakima due to missing out on the buffet breakfast at the M Lounge. Our waitress said we could order anything off the menu, which we were quite surprised about considering the dishes were mostly around $20 each.
I ordered the Vegan Breakfast Bowl. I’m not even vegan but it was absolutely delicious!
Our daughter ordered the Greek Yogurt Parfait (which Mom and Dad ended up eating most of). It was too tart for her, but we loved it.
Ryan enjoyed his Classic Benedict while our daughter devoured the sauteed potatoes that came with it.
To top it all off, our lovely waitress learned that it was our daughter’s birthday in two days, and surprised her with a beautiful cake! She even had her name spelled correctly on the plate! We were amazed by their thoughtfulness.
It was a lot of sugar for breakfast, so we didn’t end up finishing all the cake, but it was very rich and delicious!
We want to highlight our server, Bobby, as she was the kindest server we’ve encountered in a LONG time. She made our daughter feel extra special. Even as we left the restaurant and passed the front desk, the staff there greeted our daughter Happy Birthday as well!
Yakima Hours:
- Breakfast: 6:00am-11:00am
- Lunch and Dinner: 11:00am-midnight
Calgary Airport Marriott Grab and Go Food
If you don’t have time to sit down at the restaurant, the hotel also has a Market adjacent to the restaurant.
Here you’ll find pre-packaged sandwiches, wraps, fruits, salads, chips, drinks, granola bars and other snacks.
Calgary Airport Marriott Pool
On the mezzanine level of the hotel, you will find a small indoor pool and whirlpool. It is open daily from 6:00am-11:00pm and towels are provided.
As much as our daughter would have liked to, we did not get a chance to check out the pool as we preferred to use our time to catch up on sleep.
Calgary Airport Marriott Fitness Center
Also located on the mezzanine level is the hotel’s fitness center overlooking the landing strip. It is open 24/7 and offers treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical machines, free weights and weight machines.

Calgary Airport Marriott Verdict
The Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel is a very nice airport hotel that we would definitely stay at again, especially if we had a long daytime layover. While room rates are quite high, it is worth it for the convenience of being right inside the airport.
Additionally, this hotel recognizes Bonvoy Elite status well and offers good perks. We were impressed with the complimentary breakfast and enjoyed the M Lounge.
Our stay here was better than we expected and we look forward to returning for another stay in the future.
