The Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta is a brand new hotel that just opened in December 2022. Conveniently located on Highway 17A not far from the Canada/US Border, BC Ferries Tsawwassen terminal and YVR International Airport, this hotel is a good choice for travelers looking for a clean, modern hotel at a more affordable price (by Vancouver standards).
We recently had the pleasure of spending a night here after arriving on an evening ferry from Victoria for an event in Richmond the next morning. If you’re curious about this new Marriott Bonvoy option in Delta, BC, read all about our experience to see if this hotel is for you!

Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta Hotel Review
Location
Not to be confused with the Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Downtown, this hotel is actually located in the city of Delta itself, which is part of Greater Vancouver. Yes, that’s right – a Delta hotel in Delta.
While Delta is not a happening destination, it is convenient for travelers going to or from the ferries, border, or even the airport. The hotel is only 15 minutes from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, 20 minutes to YVR airport, and 20 minutes to the Peace Arch border crossing.
This location was also great for us when attending an event in the neighboring city of Richmond. Oh, and if you want to get some shopping in, the massive Tsawwassen Mills mall is close by as well.

Fun fact: The Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta is the 101st Delta Hotel to open in the world.
How to get to Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta
From the ferry
It is super easy to get to the hotel from the BC Ferries Tsawwassen terminal. Just take Highway 17 for about 7km, then take the exit toward Highway 17A. Continue another 6km and you’ll see the hotel to your left. You’ll need to turn left on 60 Ave to get to the entrance of the hotel.
From the border
Head north on Highway 99 for about 25km and then take the exit for Highway 17A toward River Rd. Once on the 17A, turn left at the lights onto 60 Ave to get to the hotel’s entrance.
From Vancouver International Airport
From the airport, take Grant McConachie Way and follow signs for Highway 99 South. Continue on 99S for about 11km and then take the exit for the 17A toward River Road. You will see the hotel on your left. Turn left onto 60 Ave to get to the entrance of the hotel.
By Bus
This hotel is not the most convenient to get to by bus, but it is possible. The only bus that gets you somewhat close to the hotel is Bus 640, although you’ll need to walk about half a kilometre to get to the hotel entrance from the bus stop.
By Uber
If you don’t have a car and don’t want to take the bus, then Uber is of course a good option.
Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta Parking
Since the hotel is pretty car-dependent, you’ll be happy to know that parking is complimentary! Yay! We were very excited about this as most hotels we stay at in Vancouver charge for parking and it can be quite expensive.
Not only do they offer free parking, but they offer a lot of it! We had no issue finding a parking spot, unlike some other hotels we’ve stayed at. The parking lot is very spacious with both covered and uncovered parking spots, and elevator access to the hotel lobby.
Hotel Check In
Upon entering the hotel lobby, we were immediately struck by how beautiful it was. It was much nicer than I was expecting from a Delta Hotel. We loved the modern decor, calming colours and fresh flowers.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta Rooms
The hotel offers 124 rooms spread across five floors. There are only three room types and no suites, but rooms are quite spacious. Well, they do describe one room type as a “suite” since it has a sofa bed, but I wouldn’t call that a suite.
Room Types available:
- 1 King Bed Guest Room
- 2 Queen Bed Guest Room
- 1 King Bed Guest Room with Sofa Bed
Room Review: Two Queen Bed Guest Room
We were in room 512 on the top floor. Since we were traveling with our daughter, we requested a two queen bed room.
Entryway
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that the room was quite spacious. The clean, simple, modern decor was pleasing as well.
On the wall to the left, there is a small shelf holding a single-serve coffee machine, ice bucket and an assortment of teas and Starbucks coffee.
To the right is a closet containing the safe, iron, ironing board and some hangers.
Bathroom
The bathroom is fairly spacious. Again, we appreciated the modern minimalistic design with floating towel shelves and a wooden vanity with built in trash can.
The walk-in shower was very large with a glass sliding door. There is both a fixed showerhead and a hand-held showerhead.
Toiletries by Soapbox are provided in the shower – shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The only individual toiletries provided are the body lotion and bar of soap on the counter.
Towels are decent quality. No bathrobes are provided.
Bedroom
The queen beds were comfortable and pillows were nice and fluffy.
Between the beds is a small table with a phone, iHome alarm clock with wireless charger (much appreciated!), two USB charging ports and two standard outlets.
Between the window and furthest bed is another comfy chair with small side table and floor lamp.
Opposite the beds is the TV and workspace. The desk features a comfy swivel chair, lamp, charging ports, complimentary bottled water, and a mini fridge underneath.
Next to the desk is a bench with some coat hooks above it.
View
The view is nothing to write home about, but this is not the type of place you come expecting a view anyway. Our room overlooked the parking lot below and out towards farmland and the freeway.
Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta Wi-Fi
Complimentary wi-fi is offered throughout the hotel. It was easy to connect to with no sign-in required and we didn’t experience any issues with the speed.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Delta Casino

Final Verdict
The Delta Vancouver Delta is the newest Marriott Bonvoy option in Greater Vancouver and we were quite pleased with it overall. Its location worked well for us, the rooms were very spacious, clean and modern, and service was very friendly. We appreciated the ample free parking as well. While we did not get to check out the casino nor buffet, having them adjacent to the hotel is certainly a plus.
If you are looking for a more affordable Marriott Bonvoy option and don’t need to be right in downtown Vancouver, this is an excellent choice! We will certainly stay here again.
