We spent one night at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay after spending a magical afternoon at Tokyo Disneyland. Even though our stay at the hotel was brief, we found it to be a very nice and convenient place to relax after a busy day at Disney.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay when considering it for your next Tokyo Disney trip!

Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay Review
When planning our Tokyo trip, there was an overwhelming number of hotels to choose from, but it all boiled down to convenience and cost. We decided it would be best to spend a night near Tokyo Disneyland, but the cost of the hotels nearest the park and within the park itself were extremely pricey.
The Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay ultimately seemed to be the best option for us as it was close enough to the parks and had a free shuttle, but was still reasonably priced.
Location
The Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay is located in the Shin-Urayasu area of Tokyo, only 2.5 miles from Tokyo Disney Resort. While it is not very convenient for exploring Tokyo’s city centre, it is good for visiting Tokyo Disney Resort.
Disney resorts are obviously the most convenient for a Disney trip, but they come at quite a hefty cost. We found the location and price of the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay to be a good compromise.
We found the location of the hotel to be quite scenic and relaxing, situated in front of Tokyo Bay and across from a large park. The area was pretty quiet, making it a nice area for those looking for a break from the bustling city.

How to get to Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay
Being in Tokyo Bay, the hotel is a bit out of the way from the city centre and Tokyo’s two main airports. Haneda Airport is the closer of the two, located about 25km away, whereas Narita Airport is about 56km away.
If you are heading to the hotel directly from one of the two airports, your best option is to take the limousine bus.
By limousine bus
From Haneda Airport, take the Shin-Urayasu limousine bus which conveniently stops directly at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay hotel. When searching online, search under “Chiba Prefecture” to find Shin-Urayasu.
The bus runs about once every hour, sometimes twice, starting at 8:35am until 10:35pm. It takes about one hour to reach the hotel. You can check the specific timetable on the airport limousine bus website. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or from the ticket machines at the airport. The current price is ¥1300/adult and ¥650/child.
From Narita Airport, there is also a direct limousine bus to the hotel but it only runs three times per day and takes about 1.5 hours. You can find the exact timetable here on the bus website. The cost is ¥2300/adult and ¥1150/child.
If your flight times don’t work with the limousine bus schedule to the hotel, you can take a limousine bus to Tokyo Disneyland instead and then take the hotel’s free shuttle to get to the hotel.
By train/subway
If you are coming from elsewhere in the city, you can take the JR Keiyo line to Shin-Urayasu Station. From Tokyo Station, it is a 20-minute ride.
From Shin-Urayasu station, you can then take the hotel’s complimentary shuttle or the Bay City Bus #3 or #23 bound for Sogo Koen. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the hotel from the train station.
Luggage Tip
For a hassle-free train journey, consider luggage transfer services, which can be easily booked on Klook!
We actually decided to take the limousine bus directly to Disneyland from the airport to maximize our time. As soon as we landed at Haneda Airport, we went to the luggage transfer desk to have our bags sent to the hotel, allowing us to explore Disneyland right away and not have to worry about what to do with our luggage!
By Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay Shuttle
The hotel conveniently offers a complimentary shuttle to and from Shin-Urayasu Station, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea.
We were given a map and timetable when we checked into the hotel, which was very helpful. You can also find an updated copy on their website.
We attempted to use the shuttle to get from Tokyo Disneyland to the hotel, but at that time, we did not have the map of where to find the bus platform. We unfortunately couldn’t locate it and missed the last bus (9:30pm) back to the hotel. However, if you have the map, you should have no problem.
We did successfully use the shuttle to get from the hotel to Shin-Urayasu station with no problem. If you are looking for the bus stop by the train station, put this address into Google Maps to find it: 6 Chome-8 Irifune, Urayasu, Chiba 279-0012, Japan
The shuttle takes 10 minutes to get to the train station, 20 minutes to Tokyo Disneyland and 30 minutes to Tokyo Disney Sea.
By taxi
The hotel is about a 6-minute drive from Shin-Urayasu Station and about 20 minutes, depending on traffic, from Tokyo Disneyland.
When we missed the last hotel shuttle from Disneyland, we ended up taking a taxi to the hotel which cost us about $20 USD.
Parking
If you have decided to rent a car and will be driving yourself to the hotel, parking is available for ¥1800 per night. EV charging is available.
Booking Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay
The nightly rate starts at about ¥19,000/night (including taxes and fees) for a standard room, which works out to about $178 CAD/$125 USD. We found the rates to be much cheaper than hotels closer to Tokyo Disney Resort.
If you are a World of Hyatt member, you can use your points or Free Night Awards here. The Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay is classified as a Category 3 hotel, so we used our Free Night Award (good for Category 1-4 hotels) to book a standard king room.
A standard room costs 12,000 points per night, or as low as 9,000 points during off-peak season and as high as 15,000 during peak season.
When not booking direct, we like to book through Booking.com as the rates are usually very competitive AND they offer free cancellation with no prepayment required.

Arrival and Check-in
We arrived at the hotel late at night after a fun afternoon at Tokyo Disneyland. Our taxi dropped us off at the front door and we checked in just before 10pm.
The lobby was very spacious with comfy seating, a large aquarium, and a lovely Christmas display. Our daughter loved the large Christmas tree and sleigh.
The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. I appreciated that they gave us a paper handout with all the important hotel information, such as restaurant opening times, Wi-Fi access, and shuttle bus timetables and maps, and went over it with us.
Due to our status, we were offered late checkout but we let them know that we didn’t require it.
- Standard Check-in Time: 3:00pm
- Standard Check-out Time: 12:00pm

- 3 Single Beds

- Ocean View Rooms
- Terrace Rooms
- Club Acccess Rooms
- Kid-Friendly Rooms

Room Review: 2 Twin Bed Deluxe Room
We initially booked a standard king room since it said it was suitable for two adults and one child sharing a bed. Our daughter is 5-years-old now and we prefer not sharing a bed with her, but we were afraid two twin beds would be too small. We noticed the king room had a sofa so we hoped that she’d be able to sleep on it instead of sharing the bed with us.
We were assigned room 603. When we arrived at the room, it turns out we were given a 2 twin bed room instead of a king room, but the two beds had been pushed together to make one giant bed. It worked for us and felt pretty spacious for the three of us. The sofa was also large enough that one of us could have slept on it, although it was not an actual sofa bed.
We also had been upgraded to a deluxe room from the standard room. The room was slightly larger than the standard room and had a nice ocean and park view.
The room itself was nicer than I was expecting. To be honest, I hadn’t stayed at a Hyatt in a very long time as we are primarily Marriott loyalists, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. However, the quality of our room, and the hotel overall, surprised me!
I loved the clean, modern decor. It was definitely a more elevated look than I was expecting from a Hyatt Regency (or maybe I’m just not familiar enough with the brand).
Entryway
Upon entering the room, there was a small open closet on the right. At the top, there were some robes, and at the bottom, some slippers. Inside the drawer was a safe.
There was a luggage rack, iron and ironing board, shoe horn, shoe brush, and emergency flashlight.
Bathroom
To our left was the bathroom.
It was quite spacious, with a separate Japanese-style shower room with bathtub.
The lighting was quite good and I appreciated the ample counter space. I was impressed with all the complimentary toiletries provided.
There were razors, shaving gel, hair brushes, tooth brushes, body wash, lotion, etc, but what was most impressive was the skincare kit!
This was the first time I’ve ever seen a skincare kit provided in a hotel. The brand was The Skin Delights and included a 4-step skincare set! There was a cleansing gel, facial foam, serum lotion and a serum milky lotion.
The towels were of good quality, there was a hair dryer provided, and, of course, a bidet toilet!
I didn’t have a chance to use the tub, but the shower had good water pressure!
Minibar
The minibar consisted of a pod-style coffee maker with 3 different coffee pods along with sugar and powdered cream.
There was also a kettle, some English Breakfast and green tea, and three bottles of water.
There was also an empty mini fridge.
If we wanted drinks, there was a vending machine located on each floor with a variety of options available.
Bedroom
The beds were comfortable and seemed a bit more spacious than a typical twin bed back home.
The duvet blankets were nice and inviting. Our daughter fell asleep as soon as she touched the bed (although a full afternoon at Disneyland will do that to you!)
Above the beds were small reading lights. In the middle was a small shelf with a small alarm clock, along with lighting controls and a USB and power outlet.
Sitting Area
Next to the window was a spacious sofa and small side table. There was also a round table with separate chair.
Against the wall was another small table with a lamp, phone, and electrical outlets. I appreciated the universal outlets along with USB and USB-C outlets.
View
Our room looked out toward Tokyo Bay and over Urayasu Sogo Park. We loved how green it was outside our window and being able to see the ocean. It looked so peaceful.
Pajamas
Inside the dresser were two sets of Hyatt Regency-branded pajamas.
We had gotten used to having these in all our hotel rooms across Japan and it was something I looked forward to as they were always a bit different.
I loved that they provided a children’s amenity bag for our daughter, complete with kids’ sized slippers, toothbrush and wash cloth!
Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay Restaurants
The hotel offers a number of dining options, including:
- The Garden Brasserie & Bar
- Garden Market
- Regency Club Lounge
- Rooftop Bar
- Sushi Ema
- Teppanyaki Fukitei
Unfortunately since our stay was so brief, we did not get a chance to dine at the hotel.
Breakfast
A breakfast buffet is available at The Garden Brasserie & Bar, located off of the lobby. We did not have a chance to try it but I took a quick peek and it looked nice.
If you are a Globalist with World of Hyatt, the buffet breakfast is included.
- Hours: 6:30am-10:00am
- Cost: ¥3,980/adults, ¥1,990/child
Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay Club Lounge
For guests who are Globalists or have club access, there is a club lounge located on the ground floor. It looked like an elegant place to relax and grab some refreshments, but sadly, we did not have time to check it out.
The breakfast is served in The Garden Brasserie rather than the lounge, but there are evening cocktails offered from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Hours: 6:30am-9:00pm

Facilities
The one notable thing missing from this hotel is a pool. If that is a deal breaker for you, you’ll need to look at other hotel options.
There’s also no spa.
Fitness Center
There is, however, a 24-hour fitness center available at the hotel. It’s not very big but there’s enough cardio equipment and weights to get in a good workout.
Nearby Attractions
Other than Tokyo Disney Resort, which is the real main attraction here, you also have the following nearby the hotel:
- Lawson Convenience Store (170m)
- Urayasu City Sogo Park (200m)
- Aeon Style Shinurayasu Mall (2.2km)
- Ikspiari Shopping Mall (6.1km)

Final Thoughts on Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay
The Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay pleasantly surprised us and made us want to explore more of the Hyatt portfolio. Its location wasn’t the closest to Tokyo Disney Resort but it was still convenient enough with the hotel’s complimentary shuttle. We also loved that it was easy to get to the hotel directly from Haneda Airport using the limousine bus.
For our quick Tokyo Disneyland trip, the Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay proved to be a solid choice. Our room was modern, spacious, comfortable, clean, and had a lovely ocean view. For the price we paid, we were very happy.
We would definitely recommend this hotel for a couple nights while visiting Tokyo Disney Resort!
