The St. Regis brand is known for its luxurious hotels and signature butler service. After a long journey to Dubai, we decided to start off our trip with a very comfortable two-night stay at the St. Regis Dubai, The Palm.

Overview
Location
As its name suggests, the St. Regis Dubai The Palm is located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah within the Palm Tower skyscraper. Also home to the popular AURA SkyPool and The View Dubai, the St. Regis occupies the first 18 floors of the tower.
The location is great for those wanting to be close to the beach and nearby attractions, such as the Mall of the Emirates and Aquaventure Water Park. We also appreciated that the hotel is located right on top of the Nakheel Mall, making it very convenient to pop down and take money out of the ATM, get a quick bite to eat, a Starbucks coffee, or grab something at the grocery store.
If you’ve never been to Dubai, you may prefer to stay closer to the city centre as the Palm Jumeirah is a bit of a ways out. However since we’d already been to Dubai and hadn’t gotten to explore the Palm Jumeirah previously, we found it to be an ideal starting off point for this trip.
How to get to St Regis Dubai The Palm
From Dubai International Airport:
The hotel is located 35km from Dubai International Airport. A taxi will cost you about 100AED and take around 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Uber is also available.
Renting a car is another option, and there are many rental companies to choose from at the airport. We preferred to drive ourselves and went with a car rental from Avis. Getting to the hotel was easy enough using Google Maps.
Monorail
The hotel is conveniently located along the Palm Jumeirah Monorail at the Nakheel Mall station, allowing guests to easily explore the rest of the Palm.
Parking
The hotel offers complimentary on-site parking, including electric car charging stations. Better yet, valet parking is complimentary as well! We used the valet every time and it was very quick and easy. They always retrieved our car within minutes.
Check-In
Upon arriving at the hotel, the valet takes care of your car and luggage and you are lead into the beautiful lobby. To the right is a gorgeous spiral staircase, in the centre, a plush seating area, and to the left are the unassuming check in desks.
Check in at the St. Regis is relaxed and comfortable, unlike what you experience in many other hotels. You are seated in comfy chairs as you complete the check in process – definitely a nice touch. The Butler then shows you to your room where your luggage will soon follow.
Butler Service
As mentioned, the St. Regis brand is known for its signature butler service. This was our first time staying at a St. Regis and having a butler at our service, so we honestly didn’t know what to expect. The butlers are available to make you tea or coffee, open your blinds in the morning, unpack/pack your luggage, or iron your clothes.
You can also reach them any time of the day with any other requests you may have. For example, I needed to print some documents and I was able to send it to the butler to have printed and delivered to our room. We also wanted to visit The View but didn’t know how to find the entrance, and the butler gave us very precise directions on how to find it. She also offered to book us tickets if we needed them.
Room Review: Grand Deluxe King Room with Sea View
We were assigned room 1218, which is a 463 sqft Grand Deluxe King Room on the corner of the 12th floor. The floor to ceiling windows of this corner room afforded us gorgeous views over the entire Palm Jumeirah and back towards the skyscrapers of the city.
The room was beautifully decorated. I appreciated the neutral colour scheme and breezy palm-inspired decor. It was all very calming.
The floor plan was very open, with glass walls between the bedroom and bathroom.
Entry
Upon entering the room, you can tell just how grand it is from the door itself. After tapping your key card, you simply push the large door open (in fact, I embarrassingly couldn’t figure out how to open it at first!)
You are greeted with a lovely entryway with beautiful mirrors on either side, some closets and a sit down vanity area.
Inside the closets, you will find the safe, hair dryer, extra robe and slippers.
Bathroom
The bathroom is very spacious, complete with his and her sinks and a very inviting stand-alone soaker tub.
To the left is a large shower with rainfall showerhead and a separate enclosed toilet with bidet.
The bathroom comes well-stocked with toiletries, including a comb, dental kit, shaving kit, cotton pads, sanitary bag, nail file, cotton swabs, mouthwash, bottled water and firming moisturizing lotion.
Next to the tub you will find a weigh scale, in case you find yourself wondering how much weight you’ve gained from all the good food you’ve eaten during your travels (kidding 🙂 )
Bed
The king size bed was luxuriously comfy with its pillowtop mattress and down pillows.
Minibar
Underneath the flatscreen TV, you will find a Nespresso machine, kettle, complimentary bottled water, teas, and instant coffee.
The mini fridge contains a variety of soft drinks and alcohol, and above it are some snacks, like chocolate and nuts.
There was also a bowl of fresh fruits provided, which we loved!
Sitting Area
Next to the floor to ceiling windows is a lovely chaise lounge. I enjoyed sitting here and taking in the expansive views while sipping on some espresso.
Plug Ins
The room has a number of USB plugs, which are convenient if you don’t have a travel adaptor.
Turn Down Service
We enjoyed returning to our room to find it turned down in the evenings and ready for a good night of rest. The window drapes were drawn and the lights were turned down.
Boxes of chocolates were left on the bed, and slippers were laid out on either side of the bed on top of a mat that read “Good Night” on one side and “Good Morning” on the other. What a lovely touch.
They also tidied the room and hung up our clothes nicely, and left us extra bottles of water. On our bed, they left laundry bags in case we wanted anything washed or pressed.
Breakfast
There is an in-room dining menu that you can order room service from if you’d like to take breakfast leisurely in your room.
If you’d prefer the buffet, which we highly recommend, you can head down to the hotel’s lovely Cordelia restaurant. The buffet breakfast here was a highlight for us, with all the options we could have ever hoped for!
They have a huge offering of high quality pastries, fresh fruits, deli meats and cheeses, freshly squeezed juices and even iced coffee, cereals, gluten-free breads, hot Indian options, made to order eggs, pancakes, waffles, Middle Eastern options such as fuul and manakesh, honeycomb, all kinds of spreads – you are really spoiled for choice here!
If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member with Platinum Elite status or above, this buffet breakfast is fortunately included.
Pool and Beach
The hotel has two pools – one is adult-only and the other is family friendly.
Both are infinity pools but neither have spectacular views – they only look onto other buildings on The Palm.
Nonetheless, the pool area was a relaxing spot to soak up the sun on the comfy loungers, enjoy some food and drinks from the Dip Pool Bar, while listening to some fun music.
The St. Regis Dubai The Palm is unfortunately not beachfront, but if you are longing for the beach, fret not! The hotel has complimentary luxury shuttles to Kyma Beach Club, an adult only venue offering access to St. Regis guests. We didn’t have time to check it out during our stay, but it sounded like a cool place to hang out by the beach.
Nearby Attractions
The View at the Palm
For 360 degree views over the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai, head on up to The View located 240 metres up on the 52nd floor of the Palm Tower. This is the tallest building on Palm Jumeirah. Tickets start at 100AED and can be booked online. We recommend booking in advance, especially if you want to visit during prime (sunset) hours.
The View is easily accessible from the St. Regis. From the hotel lobby, enter directly into the Nakheel Mall and follow signs for The View, which take you up a few escalators and straight to the entrance.
AURA SkyPool
Another popular attraction right in the Palm Tower is the AURA SkyPool located on the 50th floor. This is the world’s highest 360 degree infinity pool at 200 metres high.
Access is from right within the St. Regis lobby, however guests do not get complimentary access. Tickets start at 250AED and can be booked online. We recommend booking in advance.
Nakheel Mall
Nakheel Mall is easily accessible right from the St. Regis lobby. There are over 300 shops, popular international restaurants such as Din Tai Fung, Laduree Paris, Shake Shack, an affordable food court, and even a 15 screen cinema and Trampo Extreme trampoline park!
Al Ittihad Park
Right outside the hotel you can find the lovely Al Ittihad Park, a perfect shady spot to enjoy with or without kids. There is a 3.2km jogging path, outdoor gym equipment and playground, all surrounded by over 600 palm trees.

Final Thoughts
Being our first stay at a St. Regis, we were thoroughly impressed with the hotel and it lived up to our expectations. We particularly loved the buffet breakfast and the fact that our room was so spacious with spectacular views. The location was perfect for us, but that’s also due to the fact that we had our own rental car to get ourselves there, and we appreciated the complimentary valet parking.
For a short stay, this is a great hotel to consider. However if you want more of a beach getaway or to be closer to other Dubai attractions, you may consider other options. We would definitely consider staying at the St. Regis Dubai The Palm for another short stay in the future.
